KARACHI: The Supreme Court has upheld the acquittal of two men who were previously sentenced to death in connection with the 2002 suicide bombing on the bus of French engineers outside the Sheraton Hotel, Karachi.  Earlier in 2009, the Sindh High Court had set aside their conviction and acquitted them for lack of evidence. The state had approached the SC against their acquittal, in vain.
