Acid attack: LHC seeks report in a week

Naila Shahid was on her way home from school when a man, identified as Sunny, threw acid on the girl and fled.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Complaints Cell on Monday took notice of an acid attack on a 10th grader.The Gujrat district and sessions judge was directed to look into the matter and submit a report regarding steps taken by the police with his own comments in this regard. The news item stated that Naila Shahid, a resident of Daulat Nagar, was on her way home from school when a man, identified as Sunny, threw acid on the girl and fled. The girl got severe burn injuries and was shifted to a hospital. The police have registered a case against Sunny and arrested him.
