Energy project: Punjab Government to enforce strict rules

Speedy work is being carried out to establish other alternative energy resources, says minister.

Punjab Minister for Energy Sher Ali Khan has said that all energy projects in the province will be allocated to the energy companies according to their merits and open tenders.


While attending a meeting with the delegation of Japanese energy company Sumitomo Corporation Asia Private Limited, Khan said the government was providing all possible facilities to the national and international energy companies.

He said that several memorandums of understanding had been signed with renowned international energy companies and they are installing their products in Punjab.

He said that speedy work is being carried out to establish other alternative energy resources such as solar or biogas. In the meeting, the members of the Japanese delegation expressed interest in the energy sector especially in Jamshoro.
