By terming a terrorist a martyr, the JI chief has insulted the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army, read a statement by the Inter Services Public relations (ISPR).
ISPR spokesperson Asim Bajwa tweeted saying:

Hasan had said that Hakimullah Mehsud, who had died in a US drone strike, was a martyr.
“Syed Munawar Hassan has tried to invent a logic based on his political convenience. Strong condemnation of his views from an overwhelming majority leaves no doubt in any one's mind that all of us are very clear on what the state of Pakistan is and who are its enemies,” the ISPR press release stated.
“Sacrifices of our shuhada and their families need no endorsement from Syed Munawar Hassan and such misguided and self-serving statements deserve no comments,” the statement further read.
The ISPR statement said that the families of martyred army personnel and people who had lost their loved ones in the terrorist attacks demanded an “unconditional apology” from JI chief.
Such a statement coming from the JI chief, a party founded by Maulana Maududi, who is respected and revered for his services to Islam is both painful and unfortunate, the statement read.

Calling soldiers martyrs, regardless of which side they are on, is standard nomenclature. Unfortunately, people take sides, and perceive the people on the other side to be bad people and therefore not worthy of being called martyrs.

Church and state should be separated, running a business is not the business of the state. Any party who uses religion as a commodity/business should be banned. It defames Islam as this is the common denominator and if they hate JI, can be termed as anti Islam. Dangerous connotations here. There is no room for Mullaiat in Islam.

I just saw a interview of JI chief .... I am shocked and utterly appalled by what he is actually suggesting. He considers TTP chief a killer of thousands of innocent people a martyr while he categorically says that he has big doubts about soldiers of Pak army being considered as martyrs. According to most Pakistanis; the TTP and Mullah Radio are RAW agents, financed by India. Hence, they were the 'bad taliban', while the Afghan Taliban and Haqquanis were the 'good taliban'. But now.leaders of PTI, JI and JUI(f) consider slain mehsud leaders to be shaheed, and also want to talk with Mullah Radio. JI leaders have gone as far as to say that the soldiers killed while fighting TTP were not shaheed. (Watch yesterday's Jirga interviews on TV).
One more thing - PTI was being supported by DG(ISI) Pasha, and the JI and JUI(f) have always been supported by the army.
So how does one reconcile these contradictory facts ? Why are the rightist parties, formerly blue-eyed boys of the army, supporting the RAW agents so vehemently ?

Syed Munawwar Hassan once said that rape victims should remain silent and not go to the police to lodge complaints against rapists. Congratulation to ISPR for at last speaking up. The nation has been waiting for the last ten years for these words. There are hundred of soldiers on the frontiers defending it and laying down their lives. Forget those who sit in the cosy drawing rooms of Islamabad and have their perspectives about this war. All you have to do is to move into the war zones and realize how much many of these young people who have to defend this country, share the hopes and aspirations of us all and and want this country to be a better place. By not condemning terrorists and by equating them with martyrs who lay down the lives for their for motherland we were were on the road to destroy this country. The families of the martyrs are deeply disappointed with the late response of the ISPR. We did not lose our sons and brothers to get this kind of treatment at the hands of self-designated religious scholars who are devoid of the decency to differentiate the right from the wrong.

That is a basic ideology of JI and cannot be retracted just as Kafir-e-Aazam, paleedistan etc. can't be retracted. Now a dog is called "Shaheed" and all terrorists have taken the parallel place of dogs. These companions of 'ghaddars' must be identified and latter tried in court of justice just as Bangladesh is doing now. The precious blood of our military personnel is on these heads and their lives must not go astray.
Army should never indulge in politics. This shut up call should have come from the government or the defense minister.
