Bollywood actor thinks she is a workaholic.

Dusky beauty Deepika Padukone may well have set the screen on fire because of her chemistry with rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh in her upcoming film Ram-Leela. But when it comes to love in real life, she confesses being slightly old-fashioned. Despite endless rumours of her on-and-off relationships, the actor insists she does not believe in romance.

“I believe in the old school form of love, which I have seen growing up with my parents and my extended family. I am very traditional when it comes to love, marriage and relationships. This is because I do not know any other way as I have been brought up like this,” said the 27-year-old, according to the Times of India.

Deepika, who plays a free-spirited lover in film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, asserts that this was by far her most difficult film. “Ram-Leela has been the most difficult films that I have done. This is because I had to go on shoot like a blank slate every day and he [Bhansali] would mould me. I would go on the sets and take the day as it came. So, it was unnerving because you don’t know how the day would go,” she said.

Despite the fact that actor Priyanka Chopra seems to have stolen the show with her sultry dance number, it can’t be ignored that Deepika has given some power-packed, energetic dance performances in the film. Surprisingly, the actor did not undergo any formal dance training for the songs.

“Fortunately or unfortunately, I have never needed to take any kind of formal training. I learnt Bharatnatyam when I was in school. It’s not that I learnt it specifically for films though,” she added.

One must acknowledge that the talented actor has been on a success roll this year with consecutive hits like Race 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and the record-breaking Chennai Express. Although for any normal person, this is a good enough reason to take a long, relaxing vacation, Deepika instead intends to continue her filming streak with Shahrukh Khan-starrer, Happy New Year.

“It has definitely been an exhausting year. I had been juggling Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and Ram-Leela. But the results of these movies have been great and I am happy about it,” she said. “In terms of the amount of work I am doing or the pace at which I am working, I am loving it. I think I am almost a workaholic. There is no point in a day when I am not thinking about work, or something that is related to work. The only thing I regret is not spending enough time with my family,” she added.
