The health ministry gave no details on the latest death in the country most affected by the disease that first appeared in the Gulf state in September 2012.
The Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) has so far cost 64 lives worldwide, according to a November 4 update by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Experts are struggling to understand MERS, for which there is no vaccine.
It is considered a deadlier but less-transmissible cousin of the SARS virus that erupted in Asia in 2003 and infected 8,273 people, nine percent of whom died.
Like SARS, MERS appears to cause a lung infection, with patients suffering from a temperature, cough and breathing difficulty.
But it differs in that it also causes rapid kidney failure and the extremely high death rate has caused serious concern.
In August, researchers pointed to Arabian camels as possible hosts of the virus.

Couldn't find sympathy for Saudis , not even an ounce!
@It Is (still) Economy Stupid: Well said, the wet dreamers of Arabia who keep talking about the riches and quality of life should understand that the oil is national wealth which should be divided among the people for the betterment of the citizens...
But what we see is that one royal family use it as a personal property and live in luxury while the rest are the way they are in languishing in poverty...Also they cleverly use religion to subjugate the people just like Stalin used communism and Hitler used Nazism
KSA is just what North Korea would have been if they had oil and made contracts with USA so as to not bomb them...... People of Arabia need a revolution because this oil wont last long
Spain has just announced first case of MERS in a person who just returned from Hajj. With all the wealth it is the western institutions that are solving the mystery of this virus. KSA has failed to pour money into institution building. KSA does not have a single world class University or Hospital where world flocks to for treatment. No new drug or cure has come out of KSA. Compare to this Bill Gates has poured his personal money in health related issues. I suppose it is a cultural thing.
Camels ! ............. blame them, ha ha ........... they have carried worse burdens ! ironic
