Background Check: Arms dealers to submit records

KARACHI: The home department of the Sindh government has issued notices to weapons dealers in Karachi on Friday to submit the details on the sale and purchase of their weapons within three days, otherwise their registration would be cancelled. The notices were issued following reports that these dealers were involved in illegal weapons trade in Karachi, contributing to the worsening law and order situation. The home department had asked the arms dealers, a couple of months ago, to provide these details. Since they have failed to furnish the records, final notices have been served on them.
