Transport: Minister seeks feasibility report on metro train

The minister proposed a metro train from Shahdara to Raiwind in the first phase.

Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique on Friday met with Lahore Transport Company Chairman Khwaja Ahmed Hassaan to discuss a proposal metro train in the city.


The minister proposed a metro train from Shahdara to Raiwind in the first phase.

He said the project could start quickly. The LTC chairman urged the minister to finalise the plan and find investors to finance it. The operations staff was told to submit a feasibility report on the project in a week.

Could some body let me know if it will be done on National Program me or state program me, i mean the cost will be met by central government or state, if its going to be funded by National, then why it is not done in the largest commercial city of Paksitan.

I wonder what is in Raiwind? hmmm. Let me think.... Also let me know guess. Menu on the train will be nihari and pai only?
