Inflation: Index up 1.52% during week
The SPI for combined groups was up by 1.20%; up from 210.78 points in the previous week to 213.30 points this week.
ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended November 7 has registered an increase of 1.52% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 205.69 points against 202.61 points registered in the previous week, according to provisional figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for combined groups was up by 1.20%; up from 210.78 points in the previous week to 213.30 points this week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for combined groups inflated 13.89%. During the week under review, average prices of indexed items changed as follows: 9 items registered a decrease, 19 items increased and the remaining 25 items’ prices remained unchanged.
