Explore Indian market for mango export: UAF

Pakistan can tap huge mango market by exporting the fruit to India, which is bigger than European market.

University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan on Wednesday said that Pakistan can tap huge mango market by exporting the fruit to India, which is bigger than European market.


While talking to the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Programme Manager Dr Les Baxter, Khan stressed upon promoting value-addition to the agricultural commodities in order to get due share in international markets.

He said that besides Rahim Yar Khan, Multan and Sindh, mango belt in Azad Kashmir also had great potential that might be included in Agriculture Sector Linkage Programmes (ASLP).
