Demanding power: PTI MPA to lead rally against outages
Wapda authorities have started frequent load-shedding, spanning over 14 hours a day in Ghazi Tehsil.

To protest against frequent power outages, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA will lead a rally in Ghazi tehsil on Saturday, party sources said. According to Senior Vice President PTI Ghazi Tehsil Chaudhry Ashfaq, Wapda authorities have started frequent load-shedding, spanning over 14 hours a day, which has badly affected trade and domestic life. He said the people of Haripur, especially Ghazi tehsil, have sacrificed their prime land and the graves of their ancestors for Tarbela Dam and Ghazi Barotha power project. Ashfaq said the local chapter of PTI has decided to protest against Wapdaon Saturday and PTI MPA from Haripur, Faisal Zaman, would lead the rally which will start from Dr Haroon Plaza and return to the same point after marching on Tarbela Dam Road. He made it clear the protest would be peaceful. Local traders, lawyers, political and civil society activists along with PTI supporters would be among the participants.
