PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday directed K-P chief secretary and Inspector General Police of Balochistan to produce a missing person in the next hearing; otherwise, it would declare the detention of the person illegal. A two-member bench comprising PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan issued the order after it was informed a close relative of petitioner Shereen Bibi was picked up from DI Khan and later found in a police station in Qilla Saifullah, Balochistan. It was further informed the missing person was indicted in a kidnapping case in an FIR lodged earlier. However, District Police Officer DI Khan Nisar Marwat claimed the person was not arrested from DI Khan, but from an area in Balochistan.
