Illegal arms : Former Taluka Nazim arrested

Taluka Nazim was stopped and arrested by the Rangers near Thehri railway crossing, Khairpur.

SUKKUR: The son-in-law of minister Manzoor Wasan and former Taluka Nazim of Kotdiji, Munawwar Wasan, was arrested by the Rangers near Thehri railway crossing, Khairpur on Thursday evening. According to sources, Munawwar along with his guards was on his way to Khairpur from Sukkur. When he reached near Thehri railway crossing, a team of Rangers personnel stopped him and found arms and ammunition in his vehicle. When contacted, his cousin MNA Nawab Wasan told The Express Tribune that he had just received information about his cousin’s arrest and did not know the details. He, however, made it clear that no one in his family had illegal weapons. The Rangers authorities were not available for comments.
