PESHAWAR: Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Chief Executive Dr Tahir Khan on Wednesday said the construction of burns and trauma centres would be completed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) by June 2014.

Talking to the media at HMC, Dr Tahir said the wards will consist of 120 beds and will provide prompt treatment facilities to the victims of burn and trauma in the districts of Dir, Chitral, Bannu and Peshawar along with the surrounding population. He said the province had only 38 beds for patients requiring plastic surgery, and there was a long wait involved. Four new medical units had opened at HMC to provide timely treatment to critically ill or injured patients, added Dr Tahir. Around 1,000 patients from K-P, Fata and Afghanistan visit the hospital on a daily basis, he added. He claimed the hospital’s electrophysiology lab is now equipped with facilities which are not available in any other lab in Pakistan and are only available at a few advanced labs in South Asia.

I don't see ET highlighting this as PTI achievement. But they always take PTI name if a machine is left unused in Peshawar. Anyways, Great work PTI and IK. It is because of his truthfulness and commitment that KPK is progressing.
