
In this regard, a cooperation protocol for the establishment of Tika’s office in the country was signed by Tika President Musa Kulakhkaya and Hassan Nawaz Tarar, Additional Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division.
Tika, within the framework of this protocol, will provide assistance to Pakistan by dispatching experts, trainers, advisers, technical personnel, assistants and auxiliary staff. It will also provide the necessary materials and equipment to be used within the framework of various investments, projects and programmes.
Tika will also train Pakistani experts, executive officers, diplomats, trainers and scholars both within and outside Pakistan. In addition, it will provide various services in the field of infrastructure besides assigning the preservation of cultural heritage.
Tika has coordination offices in 20 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, delivering development assistance to partner countries through its projects and activities.
Turkey had pledged $100 million during the Tokyo donors’ conference. Out of this, an amount of $10 million has already been disbursed as budgetary support, while the balance amount of $90 million will be spent on development projects and programmes.
