Homebound: No delays in post Hajj flights, says PIA

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operation of bringing back hajjis from Saudi Arabia is going on smoothly with on-time departures from Jeddah Hajj terminal.


This was stated by PIA Director Corporate Planning and Chief Hajj Coordinator Shahnawaz Rehman. So far the airline has carried over 14,000 hajjis to the major cities of Pakistan through 27 special post-Hajj flights and 11 scheduled flights.


Referring to punctuality of post-Hajj flights, he stated that six of the flights departing from Jeddah Hajj terminal took off before the scheduled departure time. However, a few flights faced with minor delays.  He said Managing Director PIA, Junaid Yunus is in constant communication with PIA Hajj team supervising the operation from Jeddah and Pakistan terminals.


Hajjis are being assisted in filling immigration cards, directing them to their concerned counters right till boarding on the aircraft.

Lets hope that Hajj operations keep on running smoothly and PIA starts offering on-time departures on all flights.
