KARACHI: Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has reiterated that Lahore Development Authority (LDA) was not following Punjab Procurement Rules 2009 in appointment of consultants. In a letter addressed to the Director General LDA, TIP said that the authority had not replied to the query regarding ignoring Punjab Procurement Rules 2009 (PPR) while hiring consultancy services. The LDA stance that the said rules were not applicable to hiring of consultancy services was contrary to the law, said the whistle blower against corruption. TIP said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had formed a committee on this issue but LDA has not yet shared the report of the committee.
