Agreement signed: Yamaha to establish motorcycle plant

Yamaha Japan and Ministry of Industries (MoI) signed a new entrant agreement on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD: Yamaha Japan and Ministry of Industries (MoI) signed a new entrant agreement on Wednesday. Shafqat Hussain Naghmi, the MoI Secretary, signed the agreement with Managing Director Yamaha, Yasushi Ito. Yamaha was fully supported by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to materialise the mega project for manufacturing of Yamaha motorcycles in Karachi. BoI chief Zubair informed that all steps are being taken by the present government to attract foreign direct investments and development of local industry. Zubair said that Yamaha’s decision to establish its plant in Pakistan will pave way for investment of famous international brands in various sectors of the economy.
