She urged civil society activists to join hands with the PTI to protest against the government’s indifference.

Abbas said the highest number of incidents of violence against women during the last to months had been recorded in Faisalabad and Lahore.

“If women are unsafe in urban centres, imagine the plight of women in rural areas,” she said.

She said the government had not called an assembly session to discuss the law and order because its poor performance.

MNA Munazza Hassan, MPAs Nosheen Hamid Meraj, Shanila Rout, Aliya Hamza Malik, Sobia Kamal, Sadia Saif, Seemi Bukhari, Neelam Ashraf, Ayesha Zaheer, Ishtiaq Malik and Naseem Akbar were also at press conference.
