Traffic flows: Liaquatabad flyover work nears end

With the completion of the Liaquatabad Dakkhana Flyover the entire Sharah-e-Pakistan corridor will be signal-free.

KARACHI: Electric poles are being installed on the Liaquatabad Dakkhana Flyover. It will be opened after nine of the 18 expansion joints are fixed by next week. Girders are being laid as well. KMC Administrator Saqib Ahmed Soomro, Engineering Director-General Niaz Ahmed Soomro, the project directors of the Sharah-e-Pakistan flyovers met to review the progress on Monday. A track of the Ayesha Manzil and Water Pump Flyover opened before Eid, improving the flow of traffic from Sohrab Goth to Teen Hatti, said a press handout. With the completion of the Liaquatabad Dakkhana Flyover the entire Sharah-e-Pakistan corridor will be signal-free.
