The Punjab Highway Patrol on Sunday recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested her abductors. According to a press release, the PHP was informed that a girl had been abducted by people in a car with the licence plate 1546/BRA.
PHP officials intercepted the car on the highway and arrested Shahid and Nawaz, both residents of Multan. They were handed over to the police for further investigation. The PHP, in separate incidents over the last week, also recovered fake currency, illegal weapons and 11 litres of liquor, and arrested 11 people. Four missing children were also reunited with their families. A stolen tractor and a motorcycle were also seized.
