Sharing is caring: Azerbaijan envoy distributes gifts
The Azerbaijan embassy has also organised distribution of gifts and sacrificial meat in Dera Murad Jamali and Lahore.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov said that deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan would be strengthened through cooperation in uplifting the social sector. He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a gift distribution ceremony in Anjuman Faizul Islam (AFI) on Eid day, according to a press release. The ceremony was jointly arranged by Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum and AFI. Gifts comprising of clothes and shoes for students of AFI were distributed on behalf of the first lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, who is also the president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and a goodwill ambassador for Unesco and Isesco. President of Anjuman Faizul Islam, Mian Mohammad Siddique Akbar said AFI was established in 1943 and since that it was being run on donations by philanthropists. The Azerbaijan embassy has also organised distribution of gifts and sacrificial meat in Dera Murad Jamali and Lahore.
