LAHORE: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Friday that his party will take part in the local bodies' elections from all over Punjab.

Addressing party workers in Lahore and Multan, he said that candidates will be nominated from each and every district in Lahore and asked party workers to ready themselves for the task.

The MQM chief said that in order to save Pakistan, people in Punjab will have to take practical steps to eradicate the prevalent corrupt political culture and bureaucratic norms in place. He said that if Punjab doesn't do the needful, the entire country will see terrorism strengthening its foothold.

Asserting that MQM was the only party that could turn Pakistani into a prosperous state, he urged Punjab to join hands with the party.

So much for gratitude !
