Unplugged: Atif Aslam

Express April 13, 2010

KARACHI: Atif Aslam talked to The Express Tribune while on set for his first feature film, Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol this January.

Bol is related to some very controversial issues, and that’s all I’m allowed to say. I’m the only commercial aspect to the film. Shoaib Mansoor is an amazing director and human being. We’re in a village right now. And I’ve never seen a place like this before. It’s about 14 kilometres away from Lahore, and we’re here because of a tree. The tree has been uprooted and is on the ground, but it has managed to start growing again. The set is for a truck depot.
