KARACHI: Sindh government has decided to allocate land for graveyards for Muslims and Shamshan Ghats for minorities across Sindh. The decision was taken by the provincial minister for local bodies, Syed Owais Muzaffar, after taking notice of the Badin incident at a meeting on Sunday. Earlier in Tharpkar, a Hindu had died but his family could find no place to bury his body. He was subsequently laid to rest at a Muslim graveyard. This had enraged the Muslim residents who had excavated the body and thrown it away. Muzaffar said that the Pakistan Peoples Party will provide safety and security to the minorities living in the province and ensure that their rights are not abused.
