Target killing: Former union councillor shot dead

KARACHI: Former Orangi Town union councillor Waqar Ahmed Siddiqui was shot dead on Friday.  Siddiqui, who was shot six times, died on the spot, according to Orangi SHO Ghulam Nabi Afridi. Siddiqui himself was allegedly involved in several murders and riots but had been acquitted, SHO Afridi said, adding that this incident might be in connection with one of those murders. He was a resident of Mujahid Colony in Orangi Town and was associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, said Afridi.
