Pakistan play Kuwait in AFC U19 qualifier today

Side to also tackle hosts Iraq, Bangladesh in Group C.

KARACHI: Pakistan will begin their campaign at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U19 Championship qualifiers today against Kuwait in Arbil City, Iraq.

Pakistan will play three Group C matches, competing against Kuwait, hosts Iraq and Bangladesh, and the top team from the group will qualify for the next round.

Earlier, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) hosted the AFC U16 Championship qualifiers in Lahore, where the juniors finished their campaign in third place out of four teams.

Meanwhile, the U19 coach Nasir Ismail said that the preparations for the team were satisfactory as he had conducted the national camp for the event a month in advance.

Ismail was also getting advice from former national coach, Zavisa Milosavljevic, during his side’s preparations for the U19 qualifiers in Lahore.

Mansoor Ahmed will lead the team as captain while Munir Aftab will be act as deputy.
