LAHORE:

After holding a successful launch in Karachi, United Mobile introduced its first smartphone brand ‘Voice’ in Lahore with the Xtra and Xtreme phone series. Staying tune with the ‘Lahori’ way of celebration, the event was filled with plenty of music, fun entertainment.

“We held this event for the activation of our smartphone brand Voice in Punjab, which we believe is a big market especially when smartphone penetration is on the rise,” said Ijaz Hassan, director of marketing at United Mobile while talking to the media.

United Mobile has a strong presence nationwide which is the main reason for the company’s success.

“We have already introduced many mobile brands in Pakistan successfully. Not only did we introduce these brands, but we also established their presence in the market,” he said.

United Mobile’s strong distribution network, customer care and service centres has made people trust the name, which gave the company confidence to introduce affordable new brands in the local market for increased penetration among the middle-class.

Pakistan has around 130 million active mobile users and there is a lot of room for penetration as people are now shifting towards smartphones which is creating a demand and supply gap in the market, Hassan added.

Currently, four series of Voice smartphones are in the market. The price range for these mobiles is from Rs11,700 to Rs25,500.
