Rising crime: Ombudsman takes notice of robbery

Mehmood sought a report from the regional police officer and the district police officer.

SARGODHA: Provincial Ombudsman Javed Mehmood on Thursday took notice of a robbery incident at a jewellery shop in Kacheri Bazaar on October 2. Mehmood visited Kacheri Bazaar on Thursday and met Haji Mateen Ahmed Qureshi and other traders. Ahmed told the ombudsman that the robbers took away gold worth Rs5.5 million from the shop and also injured two salesmen when they resisted. Mehmood sought a report from the regional police officer and the district police officer.
