Asian Open varsities moot: Annual conference concludes

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) will work to achieve the MDG of education, according to a press release. AIOU would enrol 1 million out-of-school children, said VC Sangi on Thursday at the concluding session of the two-day 27th annual AAOU conference. Dr John Long, University of Hong Kong’s VC, was elected AAOU president while Sangi was nominated executive director.
