LAHORE: Turkish businessmen are ready to initiate joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts as they are convinced that ample opportunities exist in a number of sectors including textiles, construction and education.

This was said by Mesut Yaran, head of a 28-member Turkish business delegation, while speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Monday.

Yaran called for an exchange of business delegations so that both sides could acquire firsthand knowledge of the available opportunities.

LCCI President Shahzad Ali Malik said that the chamber was taking immediate and concrete steps to enhance trade between the two countries from the existing $663 million to $2 billion.
