ISLAMABAD: A teenage victim of the church bombing in Peshawar brought under-treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) died late Monday night. Simran, 14, had suffered 55 per cent burn injuries and was brought to the burn centre at Pims on September 24. The adolescent died of multiple organ failure, according to officials of the burn centre, who added that the deceased was taken to Peshawar for burial. “Though her condition was not critical when she was brought here, with burn patients there is always a risk of the situation getting worse without any heads up,” said the officials. Meanwhile, three other blast victims are admitted at the Pims burn centre and are stated to be in stable condition.
