The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has extended the last date for submission of application forms for residential plots in sectors D-12 and E-12.
A statement issued by the authority stated October 4, 2013 as the last day for submission. “The decision has been taken due to weekend and technical intricacies involved in preparing and processing bank pay-orders,” the statement reads.
Interested members of the public apprised CDA officials of inordinate delays involved in preparing pay orders by private banks, said a CDA spokesperson, adding that the extension is being granted on their request.
The spokesperson said that 29,621 brochures were downloaded from the CDA’s website, while more than 2,000 application forms were purchased from designated bank branches in various cities.
Earlier, The Express Tribune had reported that only 19 people had returned the forms along with pay-orders amounting to 50 per cent of the total cost of the plot.
