Peoples Republic’s 64th Anniversary: Chinese envoy assures quake relief

Ambassador Sun Weidong said emergency relief supplies provided by the Chinese government have arrived in Karachi.

ISLAMABAD: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan did not forget to mention the earthquake victims of Balochistan on the festive occasion of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. “I would like to, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, express my condolences to the deceased and sincere solicitude to their families and the injured,” said Ambassador Sun Weidong.  President Mamnoon Hussain was prominent among the dignitaries and diplomats who had gathered to celebrate the day which marks the birth of new China. Ambassador Sun Weidong said emergency relief supplies provided by the Chinese government have arrived in Karachi, and the Red Cross Society of China has provided financial assistance to Pakistan.
