With honours: FAST graduates awarded degrees

PESHAWAR: Around 102 undergraduate and masters students graduated on Saturday at the 9th convocation of FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Peshawar.

Students with distinctions were awarded medals. These include Shahzeb Hasan, Muhammad Shayan Ali, Umair Javed, Aisha Ghazi Orakzai, Haris Bin Jameel, Khadija and Ahsina Zihra. Of the graduates, 76 completed degrees in Electrical Engineering, 12 in Computer Science, 4 in Telecommunication, and 12 in Business Administration. Two students graduated with MSc Computer Science degrees, and one with MSc Mathematics.

Chief Guest Dr Amir Muhammad presented the degrees to students and encouraged graduates to work hard as they are “an asset to the nation”.

Professor Ahmed Saeed Qazi, Professor Zeb Khan, Professor Fazli Basit, Prof Dr. Toru Nakahara and Prof Dr. Fazli Qayyum and a large number of parents, academics, and other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
