A man confessed to raping a five-year-old girl in Ranjanpur after he was arrested by police on Saturday.
Police said *Arif, 22, told them that he had abducted and raped *Aamna on Friday when she was playing outside her house in Ataabad Colony.
He said he had lured the girl by offering her sweets. He told police he later raped her and left her in a field.
Police said a passerby, Khalil Ahmed, took *Aamna to district headquarters hospital.
Dr Zareen Aftab at the hospital told The Express Tribune that the girl was unconscious when she was brought to the hospital.
“Her condition is out of danger now…an initial medical report says the girl had been raped,” she said.
Police said *Arif had been arrested on a complaint filed by the girl’s father.
Station House Officer Rana Shaukat said *Arif has confessed to the crime. He said Arif had requested the police and the family of the victim to release him as he had committed “a mistake without ever planning for it.”

he desrved to be stoned as he has confessed, only this Quranic punishment elimiminate such rape cases in Pakistan.
Confession is not enough to prove rape in Pakistan (courtesy of Maulanas). He needs to bring in 4 male witnesses to prove that he did so.
