PESHAWAR: The main gate of a house was damaged when a low-intensity bomb went off in Mohalla Baqir Shah on Tuesday night. Khalil Khan lodged an FIR with Kutwali police stating his brother-in-law Gul Zamir, a resident of Mori Mohalla, was demanding Rs5 million in extortion money, threatening him of severe consequences if he refused to pay the amount. Upon Khalil’s refusal, Zamir allegedly planted the explosive device by the gate of his house. The bomb disposal squad inspected the site and said around 800 grammes of explosives were used in the device. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
