The murder in the Peshawar Church is what mass murders are, horrific and barbaric, however, was it unexpected? The K-P chief minister does not know of the Taliban. He also believes that Muslims should not be allowed to be sanitary workers; his later clarification was that he wanted Christians to retain their ‘traditional’ jobs. So, they are weak enough to only be sanitary workers, yet, formidable enough to be held accountable for Western imperialism and drones?
To call Mr Imran Khan a Taliban and a murder apologist offends his enthusiastic supporters. Perhaps, they are right. Hearing him talk after the Church attack, it is clear that Mr Khan is no ‘apologist’. An apologist makes excuses, often in an oblique manner for the acts of another, after the commission of the act. Mr Khan does no such thing. He is crystal clear in his absolute defense of the terrorists. And more importantly, he pre-approves of all future murderers. Mr Khan is no ‘apologist’, he is an ‘advocate’, an ‘ally’. Whether he does it out of fear or a single digit IQ no longer matters, he is for murder in the name of faith. His vision of ‘Naya Pakistan’ has the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a political wing of the non-corrupt Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Mr Khan, if there is a conspiracy against peace in this country, you sir are the public face of it.
The Punjab government has taken up the ‘heroic’ task of fighting the teaching of ‘comparative religion’ in the curriculum. Our estranged brothers TTP, and the not so estranged Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, are hard at work to make sure that there is no other religion (at least followers) left in Pakistan to compare to. The Punjab police recently demolished minarets of an Ahmadi mosque, how dare they pretend to be Pakistanis? Mian Sahib apparently seems to be reconsidering his position on talks. If possible, Mian Sahib should avoid trips to Saudia Arabia while he takes his sweet time on the question.
All parties have shown weakness in tackling terrorism, however, some significantly more than others. The ANP has Shaheed Bashir Bilour, the only son of Mian Iftikhar’s and many others, the PPP has the ultimate sacrifice of Shaheed BB, and Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti and Salmaan Taseer. The Christians killed while worshiping the Lord are not ‘Shaheed’ in the land of the pure. They died the mundane death, not part of any greater fight.
The arguments for talks and for terrorists are fit for children below the age of 10, with learning difficulties. The ‘force should not be used to counter force’ argument would make the prison system, the courts and the police redundant. The entire justice system would be shrinks sitting down with murderers and rapists, talking.
The worst offender is Mr Khan and his worst offense is that he is creating the space for a pro-terrorist narrative in the mainstream. Perhaps, more accurately, he is destroying the limited space that existed for the counter narrative.
The only APCs that we need now are better Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) to help us get on with the job. In the presence of a democratically elected Parliament any other APC is a joke, so is consensus. A majority resolution of the Parliament if and when, is all that is needed.
Our words of condolences and outrage are hollow, up to the point we can create enough pressure to act. One would have urged the Christians and Hindus to leave this country in the interim. However, you know what hopelessness is? Pervez Khattak’s ‘sanitary workers’ do not have the resources to get a passport, let alone afford travel. We run an inescapable prison and kill inmates for pleasure and piety. Mr Khan wants to be the warden.

So let me get this straight. To the one who wrote this, I will not comment because it is best not to clash with others viewpoints. While I do not disagree or agree, except read neutrally. And to all those commenting, I thought we were supposed to be a united nation. How can we be so if we differentiate ourselves even in political groups? When Nawaz Sharif came to power, I heard one Pakistani (while she had given vote to Imran Khan) say, "That may be for the best. Allah will get work done by him. After all, who had made the atom bomb for Pakistan?" You have a working Prime Minister now. And you have chief ministers and what not. Instead of judging them and spreading their nitpricks and slip ups, work with them to make a better Pakistan. There only so much that one person can do as a prime minister, regardless of who he is.
If we all claim to be Pakistanis...sunnis, shias, christians, hindus, ahmedis then why single out one community from the rest and all the hue and cry ?? All have faced the brunt equally!
Saroop is right on the mark, how you could negotiate with terrorists; who keep killing innocent people, despite unconditional talk offer by the government. No state as a policy negotiates with terrorists. Period. But for the sake of argument, Khan, Nawaz and other pro-talk eminences should kindly enlighten us; what are they going to talk/ negotiate about? By definition, negotiations mean give and take. What are we going to concede to the terrorists; because they want to take over the state; are Khan and company, willing to do that? And what do you expect the terrorists to concede; since the minimalist and maximalist position of the TTP is the same?
I think its a high time that we should stop discussing the issue on discussion forums as it is not bringing any good to the families, be they Christians/Muslim, who lost their loved ones in these horrendous acts of violence. We discuss the issue from our comfort zones and forget till next tragedy steps in. Have we ever thought of coming out of our comfort zones and visit those families who have suffered these calamities, no cuz we "don't have time", but enough time to spent on social media.
@Sohail Aftab: "Don’t we understand that what we have been doing since 2004. Fighting a war against Taliban?"
So since you have fough a half baked war with TTP for last 9 years and not yet succeeded. Giving up on fight with TTP will mean you will be giving up the life as you know oday and submit yourself to TTP's version of sharia.
You however have fought 3 ful fledged wars with India on Kashmir in the last 65 years- each of which you lost. Giving up on Kashmir will not harm present day Pakistanis in any shape way or form.
Yet you should give up on fight against TTP but persits with your fight on Kashmir. So logical.
Naive.Would Taliban bashing do any good.who is soft and who is not, will it make any difference.Did it ever like in the period of kharajites. We go too far in asserting our view point.IK is the oly hope.
IK hasn't enabled the terrorists by asking for a better strategy against them, the attacks have been a reality of Pakistan for the last decade. And for the last 10yrs governments have been failing to curb this menace. So if anything IK should be blamed for trying something new, its better to make a different mistake than to repeat the same actions and expect a different result. Doing that is the true definition of insanity. Besides his plans haven't been implemented and his government is 4 months old.
Excellent piece of writing.
The comments part of the article is more disappointing to me as well-educated readers also appreciate a reaction to such events which is full of incitement and hollow rhetoric. Don't we understand that what we have been doing since 2004. Fighting a war against Taliban? Now the question of Khan is that whether that war ameliorated the problem or exacerbated the situation? The answer of this question is a driving force that combined all parties to try the second option of negotiations. Inflamatory speeches by leaders are easy to made being moving in bullet proofs, but the music is then faced by ordinary public which is an easy target for those being incited.
@Umair: Yes you are absolutely right, we should give them a red carpet reception to the National Assembly building in Islamabad. So they can teach us how to establish the "Islamic" writ of the government It would be wise not to confuse one conflict with another and not create more confusion. Britain talked to Irish from a position of the power and last time I check Ireland was still with the UK. You are forgetting Tamil tigers in Siri-Lanka. No one is saying fighting with the terrorists will not be messy but they are also banking on the fact that their apologists and secret allies will make others second guess the offensive with their diatribe. And yes up till now all of our efforts were cosmetic only.
@Sarfraz Khan: Please enlighten us with the Imran Khan's plan to fight terrorism, oh knowledgeable one, because we commoners thought that only solution for a crime was to bring the criminal to justice.
First law of ET journalism - Blame Imran Khan. For everything.
I just want to ask all IK haters a couple of things : the army has been fighting these monsters for 9 years - has it worked? Second, PTI is brand new in provinvial gov't. So are you saying that under the past ANP, Musharraf and MMA gov'ts there were no bombings, no mass murder? If the answer to both is yes, then you are right IK is at fault. If no (which we all know is the truth) then let him try something different. Afterall, he is the only politiician who understands the psyche of the tribal people and even wrote a book about them some 20 years ago. An eye for an eye makes the world blind. If army launches a full blown operation in FATA, which it did in 2004 at a smaller level (the results of which are in front of all of us),then expect an increase in suicide bombings tenfold! Think rationally not emtionally even though I personally want to see all these sick monsters dead but not at the expense of the deaths of thousands more innocent civilians. Give dialogue a chance but under very strict conditions number one being they will have to accept and live with the Constitution of Pakistan and drop their weapons!
Saroop, your commentary is depressing and nauseating. Sadly, it is honest and true. My fear is that the so called "silent majority" of caring progressive Pakistanis we have always heard about is quickly dwindling down to a "terrified minority" trying to find cover. I commend Pakistanis like you who chose to fight the good fight and point out the glaring injustice and hypocrisy. I just wish someone would care to listen.
@Faisal: IK is being singled out more because we all had expectations from him and not Zardari or Nawaz. Imran has failed all of us.
Saroop you are forgetting the most important thing....IK was the captain when we won the world cup! (thanks to rained out england match to get to semis)
Pti trolls xshould realize they are now outnumbered by genuine people commenting against ik
The policy of IK has not even been implemented yet. But the other policy that you are talking about has been our policy for last 10 years. So who is responsible now? Be logical.
LEJ is based in Punjab
Its hot nothing to do with KP, FATA, PTI, imran khan and peace talks
End of discussion
You may disagree with PTI or PML N or so many other parties view on dialogue or how this situation should be delt with, but calling an ally and writing such a bias piece only for Imran Khan is a complete non sense, no less than the non sense going on in Pakistan or what many may say a nonsensical approach of talks with extremists. Why are we so extreme and judgemental in our opinions? Sorry, it is an abslutely pathetic piece of journalism but reflects the overall decay in our society.
Just when will these pro-war people will learn that your military does not have the capacity to fight off the terrorist. At the most, they can start an operation, but remember that Waziristan Agency is no Swat. They can never finish it on a successful note.
PS: It really amazed me that such an immature piece was actually published in the paper. It was barely good to be a blog post.
The purpose of this article was to incite anger/hatred/controversy/create news..and judging by the number of comments,it achieved it's objective.
Dear Mr Writer, This war against terror is not a conventional war that we just go in an area and fight the terrorists. This is gorilla warfare. Our enemy is illusive. We cannot predict where or how they will attack us and which terror group it is. Using force does not always work right. Please research a bit before writing such an article.
And no, PaK army is not going to do anything!
LEJ is based in Punjab, not in Balochistan, KP, FATA
Many civilians die in drone attacks and army operations. I don't notice same anger
We brought Imran as a Solution to the gigantic issues like terrorism, corruption, education and unemployment. Till this day, his party doesnt have a plan. Imran sleeps till the by-elections come up. He wakes up, challenges other politicians, makes an emotional speech, show us the dreams and after election, he again goes to sleep at his Farm house. Let me clarify, i am not with PPP, ANP OR PML. But the belief which Imran gave to this nation is suffocating the same nation. Why are we comparing Imran with Nawaz or Maulana? If we had to do so, we should have probably elected one face among the bunch available. ANP was a thoroughly corrupt party, but their stance against Terrorists was unshakable. They faced deaths of their leaders, kids, suicide attacks yet they stood firm against Talibans. here Imran cant utter a single word and wants Peace talks. What peace is he referring to here that Talibans kill Generals, police, public through bombings and we keep raising white flags. The least he could do is to present a bill in senate asking for death sentence for any act of Terrorism within one month. But who would give Kaptaan the courage to do so as he would never speak a word against Talibans for sake of his own life. This is the "NAYA PAKISTAN" Imran was referring to.
You might want to check my answer here --> http://jaaliangrez.wordpress.com/
WOW! Saroop, your final para and the last two lines just take one's breath away. Keep up the pressure.
Ejaz you write superb. But a very simple question. Have you ever thought why this Wrath of God is ever increasing on Pakistan? Just ponder on it and try to find out the reply.
For Mr Ijaz
http://www.dawn.com/news/1045075/tribal-elders-back-talks-with-taliban
The silent majority is deaf, dumb and blind and I feel awful to say that I am one of them. I am unable to do anything to put an end to this madness that has been going on in my country, but I shall not give up and hope some one with guts and strong moral fibre will put an end to this insanity.
Go On PTI Trolls!!
Whats the difference? i never heard Nawaz Sharif condemning Taliban. Has anyone?
@Umair:
It is naive of you to think that you can negotiate with murderers. Just for your information, the IRA had a political wing called the sinn fein who convinced their militant wing that they need to talk to resolve this as they cannot win an insurgency, not the other way around. This included first a complete disarming of the militant wings which the IRA did and accepted the writ of the state. Secondly, thier struggle was not to impose their brand of ideology or religion but was for their own freedom from the union. This they got to an extent by 2006 in a devolved form of government for Northern Ireland.
Just for your information also that Sri Lanka after decades of debating went all out against the Tamil Tigers and wiped them out bringing peace.
These people in FATA, Wana whatever you may want to call it are animals, thugs etc. A normal pakistani cannot go to these areas since I have known. Since I was a kid, any murderer, thief, kidnapper used to take refuge in these parts. It is a drug barrons den. It needs to be cleansed permanently.
Ik should have been well advised to concentrate on his admirable philanthropic activities . I honestly feel that he is naive enough to understand the subtleties of politics which is nothing but a puzzling and ruthless clash of multidimensional interests of myriad classes, institutions and sects. Understanding underlying motivations seems to be next-to-impossible for him. His naivity combined with intransigence is taking a heavy tool. If he is the political wing of TTP, he should announce it. He will win more seats than he presently holds. He should invite them to Peshawar and seek their advice on curricula, administration and development. Leaving grey areas will not work any more. He should be with them or with the people of Pakistan.
Imran Khan is a seriously confused man.............its becoming clearer by the day that politics is beyond him.
@Sarfaraz: Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity.
@The writer (and all the wonderful, enlightened souls appreciating the writer): Please tell me the solution you are proposing is not another operation in the various regions killing thousands more. But if that is, in fact, the solution you all have in mind, please remember you are indirectly endorsing what India does is Kashmir and Israel does in Palestine: kill all those who oppose the writ of the government.
And now answer me this: has Kashmir or Palestine ran out of men and women who'd keep dying in the name of the cause despite being continuously attacked for more than half a century?
And why the brits and irish (like all other resolved conflicts in the history of this world) used "Talks" to end their conflict?
"From Apologist to Ally". The title sums it up, nothing more needs to be said about this man Imran Khan. Very nicely done Mr Saroop.
Thank you Saroop. What's the solution? Why don't you start cleaning this mess up instead of commenting from the peanut gallery.
What is the difference between PTI and PML-N? Same ideology, same wing! In such a time, would anyone dare to ask where is our Prime Minister?! How could he deliver his speech in the UN Security Council, over the dead bodies of minorities?! His presence in the country was important to show the solidarity with KP and minorities at the same time!!!!! But no journalist would ever dare to speak out against the strongest family of Pakistan!
@faraz: They are tired of getting killed maybe?
Oh come on man. A common Muslim of Pakistan never think the way you have portrayed him. I know this because i am a common Muslim. You are more than exaggerating things. You know little about us.
"We run an inescapable prison and kill inmates for pleasure and piety. Mr Khan wants to be the warden." This last sentence by the Author very neatly and accurately sums up the nature of today's Pakistan, once aptly described in a foreign newspaper as "a giant prison run by its intelligence agencies".
well said (Y)
@Sarfraz Khan:
Dear Sarfraz, by your own crap, we have been fighting a proxy war for kashmir since 1947. Is it not time we let go of it as well.....
The author is sooo naive....Blaming everything on IK even to the extent to call him ally is utter nonesense....talking to terrorists was the decision of APC...ALL PARTIES CONFERENCE....LEFT AND RIGHT wings....these heinous attacks are taking place for almost 12 years....so it is very much expected in IK tenure....and talking of peace-talk doesn't halt it infact accelerate these attacks as history shows us....P.S. I am nt PTI supporter but IK called these terrorists less than humans...
How did Imran Khan get into Oxford it can't have been for having a high IQ it must have been a sporting scholarship.
Thank you for being a rare voice of reason in a country that is slowly going insane.
Taliban ideology is quite clear establish their rule on pakistan but i am not sure what immi is thinking here but still give him one chance to prove and clear the confusion b/w taliban and reactionary drone victims.
Come on Mr Saroop you know it, He is the guy if any one is in our country that can get us out of this mess. This terrorism has not started with the attack on this church. We have more than fifty thousand dead in last ten years. No solution. Still we are debating is this our war or not. you can do any thing without consensus but you cannot fight guerrilla war without consensus. how it can be build? By sincere leadership only? and through dialogue. let them talk and please let the consensus be built. So far this war is direction less. let it get some direction. No body has any doubt that we have to fight them out. IK has always said that dialogue will separate the terrorist from the rest. I believe this is the way forward. expose the terrorist first and then fight them.
@Imtiaz Anwar: The terrorist may not exist due to IK or NS. But they are deriving support from both and it is their support that prevented follow up operations even by Zardari after Swat and SWA. The solution the writer is suggesting is that it is me to initiate an operation just as it was launched by Zardari in 2009 after failure of Nizam-e-Adl.
While my previous comment was posted, an important part on identification was edited out, defeating the purpose of admitting a very specific problem, which I believe needs to be said now, more than ever...
@Sarfraz Khan:
You're right that pointing our ire at IK alone is lazy. However his party has many times failed to condemn such religious extremist terrorists, even making excuses and rationalizing their unjustifiable actions for them, such as the TTP, including the reaction to the recent jail break where minority sectarian prisoners were beheaded. There are just so many times the drones or conspiracy excuse can work.
You mention the divide and conquer rule through talks. You don't think the Pak army has not tried that with distancing the Afghan Taliban groups or tried the 'good Taliban' approach? Or the time in Swat where they broke their promises and expanded?
All the groups you named, are all linked via the Taliban or Al Qaeda and other local extremist Pakistani groups such as L-e-J, J-e-M, L-e-T, JI, etc, except for BLA which has purely ethnic goals comparatively.
How do you plan to divide them? Which ones will you favour? Can you really get the TTP to abandon L-e-J when many TTP members were ex-L-e-J? What about Jundullah, which is a pro-Al Qaeda Iran Sunni extremist Baloch group that has expanded and did a joint attack with TTP in G-B. We can't even get JI members to give up their Al Qaeda addiction, and their leadership who praise OBL and call the Taliban 'their brothers' is close to PTI, who also share similar sentiments of unity rather than a divide and conquer approach which you claim. So don't be surprised if they're accused of being sympathizers.
@Sarfraz Khan: "Do you even know the difference between Jundullah, BLA, TTP, the Afghan Taliban, the ASWJ?' Yes sir, we don't . But we know the similarity among them:they all are murderers of Pakistani citizens, with indiscriminate killing being their hallmark.
What in the heck are you talking about. Sure lets take the easy way out and heap all blame on him. Maybe he is a yahoodi agent too. He just wants every pakistani to die right. If you're done with your "look im angry" diatribe maybe offer us some solution. Start an operation you say, by all means I thought the N league had the huge mandate to do anything. Get out under your rock buddy its not like this is the first time a bomb exploded in Pakistan. Hypocrites.
I voted for imran khan but now I hate him.
Imran Khan is unfit to lead this nation. The only satisfaction I have in this situation is that I did not waste my vote on him.
Dear Saroop, I agree 100% with your Op Ed, thanks ET for an insightful analysis. It is an open secret that Ahmedi, Shia, Christian, Hindu and other minorities and sects are not rightwing voters. They come out in droves to vote their conscience and the extreme rightwing parties cannot deal with that. It is in the interest of rightwing to “cleanse” Pakistan of all these unwanted independent secular people. While the list of top ANP and PPP leaders killed by extremist terrorists is long how many ANP and PML top leaders have been killed even though they freely campaigned in the elections and by-elections? The lies and innuendos about secular leaders is another way to keep them out of power. Who could forget the clock ticking for the ouster of elected President Zardari, then him fleeing Pakistan before his term ended? To deal with fire of TTP we have to use more of the same, we cannot cut steel with soft metal like aluminum. We have tried lots of ways except a decisive action against these terrorists and cleanse their state within a state. Not too long ago IK was against APC now he wants a second APC, what a summersault once again.
Beautifully summed up the cowardice of IK...
While you usually write very powerfully, I found this article to be rambling and without point- other than taking a shot at one politician. Granted IK has failed to be firm enough against the internal enemies of Pakistan, but it is unfair to single him out before the current PM or the past president. They have all been responsible for letting Pakistan down.
@amir:
How so? The talks might be off now. That option is certainly being considered. Did you just invent a fact in the hope of distracting from the article's point?
Sad, Sad, Sad!!!!!!.
Fantastic, you wrote our pain.
Agree with the writer. Imran Khan and PTI should be taken to task for being Taliban supporters. PML N is also a right wing party. As far as the PPP is concerned the less said about them the better. All they have ever been concerned about is filling their pockets.
@Sarfraz Khan The Taliban has killed in excess of forty thousand people. Are these the people that one can talk to ? Will they provide the PEACE that Pakistan is looking for ? What happened in SWAT when the Taliban were provided with a bit of freedom ? Can one sit around the table with people who have blood on their hands ? Imran Khan has promised to solve all the problems of KP - Fata in three months of coming into power. The clock is ticking and a couple of weeks is left for him to deliver. Let us wait and see and good luck to Imran.
Last thing I remember in APC Imran Khan was not alone. Infact PMLN PPP ANP all called for Dialog even before APC and during APC
Why did ANP PPP support APC resolution?
Not totally sure if i agree with the writers point. At a time when people need to unite against a common enemy these people start criticising causing create chaos and partisanship. These murderers dont exist because of Imran khan or nawaz sharif so whats the writers point. If he has a solution then lets hear it
Sorry, have you not heard of foreign hand, conspiracy, foreign agenda, CIA/RAW/Mossad and the latest evil "comparative religion"? They are all more plausible than an anti-state, constitution rebucking, power hungry, religious zealots called the Taliban.
@Sarfaraz: Stop making excuses for IK, and please stop blabbering and running like a headless chicken who doesn't know where to run (from the truth, in your case). Saroop, I agree 100% IK is the most pro-taliban leader in mainstream politics. His philosophy is indeed harnessing a very dangerous breed.
@Sarfraz Khan: Please read what type of peace will be available if Imran's ideas are implemented. http://tribune.com.pk/story/608149/my-life-in-swat-under-the-taliban/
This is not based on guesswork. There was already a pilot in Swat in 2009 pursuant to the Nizam-e-Adl agreement with these same people that Imran wants to negotiate with.
Well said- There are no leaders equipped to challenge terrorism. Every one seems to be a sell out or intellectually challenged. And there is pretty much no political solution to the serious problems at hand.
However many Muslims have been subjected to terrorism as well and have earned no titles of shahadat either, their lives were considered equally valueless and they had no access to residing in foreign countries either. Attack on minorities is degrading but not exclusive.
A lot of innocent lives have been lost and truly mourned by many on a politics-free forum. The collective consciousness is still alive and can pave way for betterment or at least the hope for it?
Reading these opinion articles on ET, one finds the narrative/angle from one side only, which is quite at odds with the views of the mainstream. So now the author has declared Imran Khan to be an ally of the terrorists, and the author is the one lamenting about views being extreme!!
@Sarfraz Khan:
Totally agree.
This barbaric attack was probably due to Mullah Baradar being released. We should release him and hold UN accountable for it
In complete agreement with all said and written
STANDING OVATION for the Writer! Saroop, this had to be said, many thanks.
Misplaced criticism. Imran's vision regarding this war had never been implemented. The state had been going on with its own version of the war narrative and with its own set of solutions. So logically, it is not because of Imran Khan, that we find ourselves in this quagmire. Blame it on our Khaki boys and those politicians who ruled Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. And by the way, PTI and Imran Khan are very much popular in KPK
For GOD sake, wakeup mr. khan, your are helping the murderers of this nation!!!
Thank you Saroop Ijaz - for calling a spade a spade. Your anger and outrage are exactly what is required, but sadly the people who die, innocent men, women and children are only numbers for our politicians, clergy and general public, they are not considered Pakistani citizens..... particilarly if they belong to another faith.....Until all Pakistanis are not treated fairly and equally - this country will keep counting the dead and wounded.
"His vision of ‘Naya Pakistan’ has the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a political wing of the non-corrupt Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)."
"He also believes that Muslims should not be allowed to be sanitary workers..."
You have got to be kidding me with these allegations, rumors and exaggerations. You are using this tragedy for political banter without any proof or anything. This attack was not carried out by PTI. PTI is actually the only one's with a plan to end the violence. All you guys have is criticisms from your safe houses in Defence Housing schemes.
You think talking about peace is akin to being an ally? Are you that naïve? Do you even know the difference between Jundullah, BLA, TTP, the Afghan Taliban, the ASWJ? Do you know who is bombing Pakistan and who isn't? Do you know that we have been unable to fend them all off for the last 12 years. Knowing all that, you are oblivious to the concept of divide and conquer.
I am amazed that I am seeing this kind of crap on the Tribune.
Dear author I agree 100% with you. He justifies drone attacks as a cause of all terrorism. Using his twisted logic someone may murder his sons in the UK and justify it as a reaction to killing of Christians in Pakistan. But Mr Khan is very clever. He knows that the UK is a civilised, democratic country where there is rule of law and a safe haven for his loved ones.
Agree with the writer. Imran Khan has offended many of his supporters for being too lenient to the terrorists. He is worse than the ANP which al least would strongly condemn the Taliban though lacking the will to fight against them. For many in K-P Imran Khan is another Asfandyar Wali Khan who simply wants to save his own skin by not speaking loudly against terrorist Taliban.
Well said. Will you also now speak against Nawaz Sharif, who has gone beyond Imran's support?
Saroop, you are right. So was Salman Taseer. I am afraid that this country is no longer a place for people with humanity in their hearts. Kaptaan is our intelligent politician. That is a measure of where fate has brought us.
Imran Khan will also find it difficult to hide if TTP retaliates in response of use of force by the State of Pakistan!
