Wahlberg recently wrote a column for the Huffington Post revealing that he has succeeded in becoming a high school graduate. He wrote, “I never made it past the ninth grade. My circumstances were not unlike millions of other teens today, who live in tough working class neighborhoods surrounded by drugs, violence and crime, and who struggle to stay on the right path without positive influences.”
However, after years of studying over the internet, he has finally earned the coveted certificate. “I was fortunate to find out I could attend high school online. For almost a year, I’ve been taking classes and studying any chance I could get - on the set, traveling for work and at home. It has been both humbling and challenging, but I’m happy to report that I am officially a high school graduate, having received my diploma this summer,” he shared in his blog.
Way to go Mark, You have definitely set an example for other youngsters who are living in deprivation. Happy graduation!

I congratulate you on such an honorable achievement, i also have the same situation and want to get my high school diploma, i had to leave high school just short of the last quarter and never was able to go back for i had to work and make a living.
Haha, awesome job Mark.
People say wealth doesn't always guarantee happiness, similarly I suppose success doesn't always fill the gap for education and diplomas for some people. Its such a paradox. Good on Wahlberg though!
Hope he gets a better paying job now... oh wait...
