A year later: Police nab suspected murderers

According to details, the police had recovered the body of Shahid Ali on November 20, 2012.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has arrested three proclaimed offenders who were on the run for one year after they had allegedly killed one of their relatives over a family dispute, a police spokesman said. Personnel at the Golra Police Station made the arrests on Wednesday. According to details, the police had recovered the body of Shahid Ali on November 20, 2012, from Naswar Chowk, near Sector F-11. Ali’s mother, Altazia Bibi, had told the police that Raidur Rehman, Shamshad and Wahid Zaman had shot her son dead. She had reported that the murder was committed when she and Ali were going to a slum near Golra and that she had witnessed the entire incident. A special team headed by Inspector Siddiq of the Golra Police Station succeeded in arresting the suspects after following various leads.
