A woman and her two brothers are among the deceased in this incident of unprovoked firing that took place in Zhob.
On August 1, ten mortar shells were fired from Afghanistan in South Waziristan, injuring a woman and two children.
The mortar shells were fired near the Angoor Adda area.
A senior Pakistani diplomat had met with the Afghan government on May 6 this year to discuss the escalation of cross-border firing.
Kabul had accused Islamabad of playing a double game in supporting Taliban insurgent attacks on US and Afghan troops. Pakistan had denied the allegations.

@sudhanshu: I don't understand why you Indians are disrespectful to Pakistan's heritage and identity. Pakistan is set in stone, and no amount of wishing for its' end will finish it.
Pakistan's heritage is almost as old as that of human civilization, spanning 9,000 years of culture and learning beginning with the Indus River Valley civilization which consisted of all the provinces of Pakistan: Balochistan, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Kashmir. We all share a common ancestry and genetic make-up which begins from this great Indus river. Even before Islam, it was known to the Arabs and Persians as Sindh, and to us as Septa Sindhu, land of the seven rivers, tributaries of the Indus.
Hindustan, Hind, or what the British called "India" is a whole other civilization based on your holy river, the Ganges. We are two completely different civilizations, and that difference is not only based on religion, but also race, culture, language, philosophy, society, dietary habits, and lifestyle as well.
@afghani: How typical to see Indian trolls here supporting Afghanistan as it causes border troubles while Pakisdtan continues to feed and house millions of poor Afghan refugees. Pakistan should deport all of the Afghans back to Afghanistan and seal the border so they can't come back. This is the only solution to the issue. If Indians are so worried about Afghan refugees, they should welcome them to live in India since Western countries are tired of so many Afghan refugees who get asylum but only live on state welfare when they don't work.
@Sandip: Stop being prejudiced and open your eyes. The Indian-backed invasions by Russia and US in Afghanistan is responsible for the weapons and arms flowing into Afghanistan. Opium production increased after the US occupation. It is convenient to support the invasion of Afghanistan by outside powers, but Pakistan has always supported the right of Afghans to live in independence and resist any invasion of their homeland. History will always remember Pakistan's stance, and true Afghans appreciate it. Karzai is just a foreign puppet and doesn't represent Afghan people.

That's nature's way of paying one back in one's own coin. Look at history. Every interference that you did in Afghanistan in the form of proxies, weapons and drug peddling is coming back to haunt Pakistani society itself.
Stop the policy of destabilizing Afghanistan and Pakistan will enjoy the fruits of stability, trade and economic development. This in itself will also rid the need of cross border shelling also always initiated by Pakistan.

@Bakhtiyar Ghazi Khan I wrote what I felt, not new things for years I have same feeling. Afghan and Pakistani are blood brothers ? Instead you can say Afghan and Pakhtuns are blood brothers, Bloch and Iranians are Blood brothers. Sindhi and Punjabi share blood with Indians. Imagine hi karna hai to Pakistan and Sauds too are brothers. Turks are brothers.
Wait what ? Everything is clear. Taliban will be supported against Afghan Govt. If Kabul is captured, Then Indian work will be destroyed, schools will be destroyed. If America is not affected then everything will go on, if America is affected then same story will be repeated.
As and when needed (read money) Taliban, Al qaeda can fight against Afghanistan, they can fight against pakistan, They can fight against usa, and they can fight in favor of these too, if situation permits.
These actions are the results of US and Indian influence on the Karzai government. Afghans and Pakistanis are brothers, and will forever remain brothers, no matter which foreign interests want us to be enemies. It is a matter of pride for us to house 5 million + Afghan brothers here. Pakistan has never kicked out any refugees in our history.
