By-election NA 25: PTI, JUI-F face off on Sep 18

In the constituency, 308 polling stations have been established.

PESHAWAR: Despite security threats in the area, by-elections for NA-25 are all set to be held tomorrow (Wednesday), said a statement issued by the ECP on Monday. Seventeen candidates are contesting for the votes of 366,500 people while electioneering ended on Monday night. The main contenders for the seat are JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman’s son Asad Mehmood and PTI’s Dawar Kundi. JUI-F’s candidate Mehmood has the support of the ANP and the PML-N while PTI’s candidate is backed by the PPP. In the constituency, 308 polling stations have been established. Of these, 77 are for men and 74 for women; the rest are collective.
