Joining the list of Twitter quitters this week is Courtney Love who left the micro-blogging site after posting a nude picture of herself. “I’m off Twitter, that photo was meant for a boyfriend,” Love wrote in her final tweet.

In Bollywood, Salman Khan is realising how Twitter has helped him deal with controversies. “Controversies are fuelled and at times created by the media. I don’t react to it and no one around me does either. Since I have come on Twitter, even my fans have stopped reacting to it as they have direct access to me,” the actor told IANS.

Meanwhile Twitter is inspiring more TV productions. CBS is developing two new comedies, including a project based off a Twitter feed produced by social-media master Ashton Kutcher.

Following on the successful launch of its Twitter-inspired comedy “$#*! My Dad Says” in September, CBS has made a script deal for “Shh ... Don’t Tell Steve,” based on a Twitter feed by the same name.

The CBS version of “Don’t Tell Steve” is about a man who deals with an immature roommaate. The Twitter feed’s premise is a guy who secretly tweets the actions of somebody he lives with (in this case, his jobless, drunken roommate).

Kutcher, who has an astounding 5.8 million followers on the popular social media site, is serving as an executive producer.

The second deal is for “Murses,” a comedy about two male nurses.
