Targeted raids: Rangers personnel round up over a dozen suspects

Over a dozen suspects were taken into custody by the Rangers, as part of the ongoing targeted raids against criminal elements, in different parts of the metropolis on Sunday.


The overnight raids were conducted by the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, in different parts of the metropolis including Sindhi Hotel in New Karachi, Mehmoodabad, Baloch Colony, Cattle Colony, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Hassan Mujtaba Town, 100 Quarters in Korangi, Jauhar Morr, Surjani Town and Yousuf Goth.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, 14 criminals, including target killers and extortionists, were apprehended during the targeted raids while weapons were also seized from their possession. A large number of Rangers personnel carried out the raids and no one was allowed to enter or exit the vicinities as the Rangers personnel were deployed at the entry and exit points to avoid the escape of any suspects during the raids. None of the suspects were handed over to the police till the filing of this report.
