No maintenance work has been carried out on roads in the federal capital that were damaged by the monsoon rains.
Due to the ongoing rainy spell, different roads have broken up and potholes and craters have developed, but the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has carried out no repair work on them.
The service road from Sector I-10 to 7-Up Chowk, which is used by heavy traffic heading to the Industrial Area, is in a dilapidated condition and in need of urgent repair.
“The entire road, especially near the Islamabad Railway Station and I-10/3, is in a bad shape and needs urgent repair,” said Talha Nadeem, a resident of I-10/2.
He said that during rains, the road gets flooded and motorists have a bumpy ride while navigating it. Similarly, the link road from Sabzi Mandi to NDC is also broken at several places.
