ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday revealed that families of several militants were hiding in Karachi.

While Malik was speaking at the inauguration of a monument built in memory of martyred policemen at Police Line headquarters in Islamabad, he said that the government will take strict action against them.

The interior minister hailed the vital role the police have played in curbing terrorism in the country, saying sacrifices given by them have ensured the security and safety of the nation.

Malik said housing societies will be built for the families of the martyred policemen in all four provinces.

A number of key militants and commanders, including Mullah Baradar, have been arrested in Karachi in the recent past.
