RAWALPINDI/ ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight bound for England, made an emergency landing in Turkmenistan after a passenger on the plane suffered a heart attack, reported Express News.

According to correspondent Imran Asghar, PK-795 was scheduled to fly from Islamabad to Bradford in the United Kingdom.

However, following reports of the medical emergency, flight captain Irfan informed the relevant authorities in Pakistan. After talking to the authorities in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the plane was allowed to land at the nearest airport.

Asghar said that officials from the Pakistan Embassy in Turkemanistan arrived at the airport and the passenger was being given due medical treatment. PIA spokespersons in Pakistan cited the passenger's condition to be critical and revealed that he will be shifted to a hospital.
