Urgent Action is needed! Order all ex-convicts to report to the police, and they should be ordered to explain their source of income. And put tracer bracelets on all of them. Failure to comply within a month should lead to an all out manhunt for them.
Failure to prove their source of income, should lead to an arrest. Failure to put a bracelet on, and in anyway hinder the police from tracing them should lead to an arrest as well.
Most of the people involved are ex-convicts. Get them all if proven guilty, and this time show no mercy. If you are not man enough to hand out a death sentence, then at the very least put them in jail for life.
Start tracing every single policemen's mobiles.
Drastically improve the witness protection programs.
And most importantly, the police needs a better pay, and better equipment, but this should go hand in hand with more training, failure to keep up with the rigorous training should lead to expulsion from the police force.
If we can build mega projects related to transport. I think we should focus on the improving the police first.
RIP. We need an overhaul of the Police system in Karachi and align it with the pattern of USA where patrolling officers are present or immediately reach the place of crime to nab the culprits instead of depending on evidences and later investigations to follow the arrest. It seems the the entire paradigm is need to be revisited and changed. Otherwise the life long targeted operations will not be able to stop this sort of tragic incidents.
Nice going so called ''Targeted operation''.
RIP
