Protesting death of sons: Shutter-down strike in Panjgur

All shops, markets and business establishments remained closed in the city.

QUETTA: A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Panjgur district against the killing of the two sons of a religious scholar. All shops, markets and business establishments remained closed in the city while traffic on the roads was also thin compared to normal days. In order to avert any untoward incident, local administration had taken strict security measures. Unidentified armed men had shot dead Hafiz Zahir and Hafiz Tahir, sons of a religious scholar and JUI-F leader Maulana Abdul Qadir in Panjgur town on Thursday.
