
The top officials of the Sindh police who were recently transferred and given new posts assumed the charge of their new offices on Friday.
Meanwhile, another summary has been moved to government to transfer and post eight more officers of SSP rank in the province.
According to this summary, the police department plans to appoint SSP Pir Mohammad Shah as district South SSP, SSP Irfan Baloch as SSP Larkana, SSP Munir Shaikh as SSP Sukkur, SSP Irfan Bahadur as SSP Hyderabad, SSP Younus Chandio as SSP Kashmore, SSP Javed Maher as Principal Police Training Centre in Saeedabad, SSP Ahad Sangri as SSP Crime Branch, Sukkur and SSP Umer Salamat as SSP Traffic, Central.
The newly appointed Karachi police chief, Shahid Hayat, and three district police chiefs were among the 18 police officers who assumed their duties on Friday.
Meanwhile, Hayat has replaced former city police chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo, who has been transferred and appointed as the traffic AIG.
